Upaya pembunuhan pengecut ini tidak akan mengubah posisi dan tuntutan kami yang jelas, yaitu: penghentian segera agresi terhadap rakyat kami, penarikan penuh tentara penjajah dari Jalur Gaza, pertukaran tawanan yang sungguh-sungguh, serta pemulihan dan pembangunan kembali bagi rakyat kami. Kami tegaskan bahwa kejahatan teroris ini tidak akan melemahkan tekad gerakan dan kepemimpinan kami, juga tidak akan menghalangi kami untuk berpegang teguh pada hak-hak nasional rakyat kami, dan untuk terus melanjutkan perlawanan hingga penjajah tersingkir dari tanah kami, dan negara Palestina merdeka berdiri dengan Al-Quds sebagai ibukotanya.
... Kami telah menerima, melalui mediator, beberapa ide dari pihak Amerika untuk mencapai kesepakatan gencatan senjata. Oleh karena itu, gerakan Hamas menyambut baik setiap langkah yang membantu dalam upaya menghentikan agresi terhadap rakyat kami, dan menegaskan bahwa mereka segera siap untuk duduk di meja perundingan untuk membahas pembebasan semua tahanan dengan imbalan deklarasi yang jelas untuk mengakhiri perang, penarikan sepenuhnya dari Jalur Gaza, dan pembentukan komite untuk mengelola Jalur Gaza yang terdiri dari orang-orang Palestina yang independen, yang akan segera memulai tugasnya, dengan jaminan komitmen publik dan eksplisit dari musuh "israel" terhadap apa yang akan disepakati, sehingga pengalaman sebelumnya dalam mencapai kesepakatan dan kemudian menolak atau membatalkannya tidak terulang kembali. Yang terakhir dari kesepakatan-kesepakatan tersebut adalah kesepakatan yang diajukan oleh para mediator kepada Hamas berdasarkan usulan Amerika Serikat, yang disetujui oleh Hamas di Kairo pada tanggal 18 Agustus 2025. Namun, pendudukan “Israel” belum menanggapi kesepakatan tersebut hingga saat ini, dan justru terus melakukan pembantaian dan pembersihan etnis. Oleh karena itu, Hamas tetap menjalin kontak terus-menerus dengan para mediator untuk mengembangkan ide-ide tersebut menjadi kesepakatan komprehensif yang memenuhi tuntutan rakyat kami.
