... He was escorted by an armed, masked unit of guards, his hands and feet bound with shackles — yet he wore a wide smile. Abbas reacted calmly to painful news — his salary had been cut, and the Palestinian Authority had shut down his son Abdullah’s company just a week before his son's wedding. Abbas responded with quiet strength, saying: “The bitter truth is better a thousand times than a comforting illusion.” The lawyer showed him photos from Abdullah’s joyful wedding celebrations, which drew hundreds despite the difficult circumstances. After a deep sigh and eyes sparkling with joy, the lawyer jokingly told him, “Stay strong — you didn’t get to spoil your kids, so at least you'll spoil your grandchildren [upon your freedom].” He then spoke about life in solitary confinement, describing it as a place of harsh isolation, cold, hunger, and constant repression, where they have become “like the People of the Cave.” Yet, he said, their spirits remain “as high as the sky.” Among those enduring the same conditions with him are: • Mahmoud Shreim • Ibrahim Mansour • Ahmad Sa’adat • Islam Farroukh • Marwan Barghouti • Yaqub Qadri • Islam Hamed Despite the pain of separation and long years of captivity, Abbas expressed joy for the prisoners who were recently released and remained hopeful that his own freedom was near. Before they parted, he asked to send his blessings and congratulations to his son Abdullah, ending the visit with a calm, reassuring farewell: “Don’t worry about me.”
... He lost his leg in an "israeli" airstrike in 2015 and was later arrested by the occupation forces from Kamal Adwan Hospital at the end of last year. During his imprisonment, he was brutally tortured with metal tools and subjected to electric shocks, which ultimately caused him to lose his sight completely after waking from a two-hour coma. He spent eight months under severe torture in prison before being released the day before yesterday—still without receiving any treatment for his eyes. Mahmoud’s case is not an isolated one; it reflects the suffering of thousands more who remain held in "israel" prisons. #FreeThemAll
... From the right: Freed prisoners in the Wafa al-Ahrar deal Mahmoud Atoun, Mousa Akkari, Mahmoud Issa (freed yesterday as part of the Toufan al-Ahrar exchange) and Majid Quteish. These are four young men from Jerusalem entrusted with the mission of capturing soldiers in order to liberate Palestinian prisoners from occupation jails. They kidnapped Corporal Nassim Toledano in 1992 with the aim of exchanging him for Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who was imprisoned at the time, but they killed him due to the occupation's refusal to engage. They were arrested after six months of interrogation and search and imprisoned for up to 32 years, as in the case of Mahmoud Issa. Today, they are reunited, liberated, at the hands of the Resistance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people of Gaza.
... Nothing else. Not even, you know, not even a radio or a TV to understand what's happening from the outside world. So these 1,7700 plus Palestinians who were released from Gaza, they have no idea whether their family members are alive or they've been killed. You know, we're seeing videos that are completely harrowing. You know, a mother just so happy to, you know, see her loved one from Gaza being released because fo months during their detention, they had no idea whether they're alive or killed."
... When you see the discipline of Gaza's fighters, the creativity of their intense operations, the engineering of Al-Aqsa Flood, the brilliance of tactics, the superiority of weapons: here are the fingerprints of Abu Omar. When he first moved to Gaza, he lived by a vow: "There is no exit from Gaza after I have entered it with my wife and children, except to the West Bank as liberators, or soaring as a martyr to Paradise." After 21 months of relentless war, Abu Omar ascended with his wife and grandson in a treacherous zionist strike. A man with the spirit of a soldier, a husband, a father, a leader has departed us, fulfilling his promise, soaring to Paradise from the soil of Gaza. Farewell to a founder, a silent giant, and the martyr of Palestine. Glory to the martyrs."
... In doing so they offered the best of their leaders, cadres, and sons with dignity and pride. Through its brave brigades in the West Bank, they were at the forefront of clashes with the occupation army in the camps and cities of the West Bank, defending our land and our sanctities, foremost among them the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. On this occasion we affirm that the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine remains committed to the principles for which it was founded, and that it will spare no effort to stop the aggression on Gaza, to deliver aid into the Strip, to force the withdrawal of the enemy army, to rebuild, to restore internal unity, and to thwart the occupation’s projects in the West Bank and Al-Quds. The course of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has shown that the assassination of its first Secretary-General only strengthened its firmness and its conviction in the path for which the movement was launched — without compromise, evasion, or appeasement — holding fast to the principles and constants for which Al-Shaqaqi lived and was martyred for, and asserting that armed jihad is the only option to confront the Nazi-zionist crime. It will continue and persist until the liberation of Palestine — all of Palestine — from the river to the sea.
... Though your pure body is absent from the soil of Gaza, your soul soars through the skies, filling the universe with the truth that the blood of martyrs writes everlasting glory for Palestine and the Ummah. The enemy has failed to achieve its aggressive goals on the land of proud Gaza and was forced, humiliated, to cease fire—retrieving its captives only under the will and conditions of the Resistance. Mercy, glory, and eternity to the soul of the heroic martyr commander Yahya Al-Sinwar (Abu Ibrahim) and to all the convoys of martyrs from among the leaders and sons of our people and our Ummah. We ask Allah Almighty to grant them the highest ranks of Paradise among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—what an excellent companionship that is. #Military_Media

Naim Bassem Naim, son of Hamas leader Dr. Bassem Naim, was martyred after succumbing to injuries sustained from gunfire by the Daghmash clan in southern Gaza City during clashes with resistance security forces yesterday. Additionally, Wael Nassar, the fighter and son of Hamas leader Maher Nassar, was martyred in the clashes, where journalist Saleh Al-Jaafarawi also ascended. ... And then keep fighting. And keep fighting! For years. For decades. For centuries if necessary." —Al-Hakim
... But his voice, like so many others, is being systematically erased. Meta works hand in hand with Israel’s cyber and intelligence forces — including former Unit 8200 operatives embedded in content moderation to silence Palestinian voices. It obeys takedown orders from Israel’s so-called “Free Speech Court,” a body led by a former information minister that exists to suppress Palestinian voices under the guise of legality. Israel’s censorship machine doesn’t just target posts, it targets people. It’s erasing witnesses, one account, one memory, one story at a time.

... Palestinian Journalists Protection Center: The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) announced on Sunday evening the martyrdom of journalist and media activist Saleh Al-Jafarawi, who was fatally shot by gunmen loyal to the "israeli" occupation while carrying out his journalistic duties in southern Gaza City. In a press statement, the Center explained that Al-Jafarawi was on a field assignment preparing a news report documenting the suffering of families returning to their destroyed homes on Street 8 in southern Gaza when armed men opened fire directly at him, seriously injuring him; he later succumbed to his wounds. The Center affirmed that Al-Jafarawi’s killing constitutes a heinous crime and a direct assault on truth and press freedom in Palestine, stressing that this crime adds to a long series of systematic violations targeting Palestinian journalists in the field, whether by the occupation or its loyal groups. The PJPC held the "israeli" occupation fully responsible for the crime, warning of the growing threat of armed groups loyal to it, which seek to spread fear among journalists and prevent them from documenting its crimes against civilians. The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center called for an urgent international investigation into the circumstances of Al-Jafarawi’s death and urged human rights and UN institutions to take immediate action to ensure real international protection for Palestinian journalists who continue to fulfill their duties despite grave risks.
... We call on the international community, international organizations, and organizations related to journalistic and media work in all countries of the world to condemn the occupation's crimes, deter it, and prosecute it in international courts for its continuous crimes, and to bring the occupation's criminals to justice. We also call on them to exert serious and effective pressure to stop the crime of genocide, to protect journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip, and to stop the crime of their killing and assassination. We ask Almighty Allah for mercy, acceptance, and paradise for all martyred journalist colleagues, and patience and solace for their families and the Palestinian journalistic community. We also wish a speedy recovery for all injured journalists. Government Media Office in Gaza Gaza Strip - Palestine Monday, September 15, 2025
... It pointed out that the occupation army has escalated its crimes against journalists as part of its attempts to occupy Gaza City and empty it of its residents. The center affirmed that targeting Palestinian journalists constitutes a compound war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention, which guarantees protection for civilians and media workers during armed conflicts, as well as Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which guarantees the right to freedom of expression and access to information. It added that the killings of Al-Kweifi, Haniyeh, and Al-Zamli have raised the death toll of martyred journalists in Gaza since the start of the war to 251, reflecting a systematic policy by the occupation to impose a media blackout and eliminate witnesses to the truth. The center called on the United Nations and the Human Rights Council to form an independent international investigative committee into crimes targeting journalists, urging the International Criminal Court to include these crimes in its files on war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the occupation. It stressed that "israel’s" impunity poses a direct threat to free journalism and to peoples’ right to know, holding the international community responsible for its silence in the face of these grave violations.
