📌A ceasefire is not the end of our fight - Palestine still demands justice.📌
After the ceasefire, thousands around the world kept taking to the streets - demanding accountability for war criminals through protests, strikes, and boycott campaigns across multiple countries.
The largest mobilization in Europe since the genocide began took place in Spain - with mass protests and general strikes sweeping the transport, media, and labor sectors. Demonstrations disrupted operations at
the Port of Barcelona and key logistics facilities.
"The Spanish government has confirmed the continued ban on arms exports to Israel," said Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, "and stressed the need to hold those responsible accountable before international courts."
In Italy, more than 10,000 people took to the streets holding red cards - demanding that Israel's national team be banned from participating in World Cup tournaments.
In South Korea, BDS activists held solidarity readings for Palestine at a cafe near the lsraeli Embassy in Seoul. The action coincides with calls for a mass protest tomorrow, Saturday, October 18, at 4 p.m., in front of the Bosingak Pavilion in the capital.
In London, activists launched a boycott of Barclays Bank for funding companies that arm Israel, calling for a "Day of Action" on Saturday, October 18. Healthcare workers also joined, protesting government censorship and Israel's attacks on Gaza's medical sector.
Across the United States and Ireland, daily protests are being organized between October 16 and 2 by supporters, student coalitions, and community groups calling for justice in Palestine.
At the University of Houston, students began a hunger strike on October 15 to demand that the university divest its $13 million investments from the Israeli entity. The first day of the strike was dedicated to the memory of martyr Hind Rajab.
Two years after the genocide, the world has realized that a ceasefire alone won't stop Israel. People continue to mobilize - pressuring their governments and institutions to fully isolate Israel until the war criminals are held accountable and Palestine is free, from the river to the sea.
A ceasefire is not the end of our fight - Palestine still demands justice. Hold the Israeli occupation accountable. Don't leave the streets - protest, boycott, resist.
