In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Lebanese Meeting of Parties, Forces, and National Figures expresses its strongest condemnation of today’s Zionist aggression on Beirut’s southern suburb, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several citizens.
The Meeting affirms that the treacherous and escalating Zionist attack on Lebanese sovereignty constitutes a blatant and explicit violation of the ceasefire and further deepens the deliberate violations of UN Resolution 1701 and all international norms and conventions.
The Meeting added that this aggression—both in its timing and its objectives—cannot be separated from the Zionist entity’s attempt to impose its agenda by force in pursuit of malicious strategic goals, most notably:
1– Disarming the resistance, in an exposed attempt to force Lebanon to relinquish one of its essential defensive elements against expansionist ambitions, rendering Lebanon vulnerable and exposed to future aggression.
2– Igniting internal strife by attempting to drag Lebanon toward a confrontation between the army and the resistance, in order to dismantle the coordination and complementarity between them, distract the Lebanese from their primary national cause, and strip Lebanon of its protective factors.
3– Imposing conditions of surrender, enabling the Zionist entity to enforce its security, political, economic, and normalization terms on Lebanon by pushing it toward signing a quasi “surrender agreement” that fulfills expansionist objectives—including re-demarcating land and maritime borders and securing control over natural resources.
The Meeting affirmed that this escalation occurs under political cover and a green light from the U.S. administration, which is complicit with the enemy and uses it as a tool to advance its projects in the region at the expense of Lebanese sovereignty and rights.
The Meeting explained that confronting this comprehensive challenge requires a unified and integrated Lebanese strategy based on strengthening national unity as the cornerstone of confronting Zionist aggression and preventing it from achieving its objectives. Closing ranks and unifying the Lebanese national position—across all political spectrums—while rejecting all attempts to sow internal discord or slide into conflict, is essential to blocking sedition and isolating those who promote divisive and inflammatory rhetoric against the resistance.
The Meeting emphasized the importance of all parties, forces, media outlets, and political, cultural, and social actors contributing to raising public awareness regarding the true aims of the Zionist enemy and the suspicious agendas seeking to fragment Lebanon.
The Meeting also called for activating Lebanese diplomacy on the international level by submitting continuous and well-documented official complaints to the United Nations and the Security Council regarding Zionist violations, with focus on the deliberate breaches of Resolution 1701.
Additionally, the Meeting urged mobilizing regional and international support through intensive communication with friendly countries, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement, in order to rally an international stance that supports Lebanese sovereignty and rejects Zionist dictates.
The Meeting further stressed the need to expose the U.S. role in facilitating and covering for the aggression, and to call on U.S. officials to cease applying pressure in violation of international legitimacy and Lebanese sovereignty.
The Meeting reaffirmed the importance of holding firmly to Lebanon’s elements of strength—foremost among them the resistance’s weapons—as a national asset and a legitimate right of self-defense against continuous Zionist threats and assaults.
It also stressed the necessity of exerting pressure by all means to compel the enemy to cease its aggression and withdraw completely and unconditionally from all occupied Lebanese territory, calling for the highest levels of readiness to deter any aggression or attempt to impose a new reality on Lebanon by force.
The Meeting concluded by extending its deepest condolences and congratulations to the leadership of Hezbollah and the honorable families of the martyrs, wishing a swift recovery for the wounded.
