[1] Ismail Al-Thawabteh, Director General of Government Media in Gaza, accuses the Israeli occupation of stealing the organs and livers of the martyrs whose bodies were handed over to Gaza resistance yesterday. Ismail Al-Thawabteh to Al-Jazeera:
Ismail Al-Thawabteh: "We've deep suspicions that the Israeli occupation has stolen organs from these martyrs including eyes' corneas and even the livers."
Al-Jazeera: "Let me focus on this issue, some of those following your coverage have called this a crime that must be halted and brought before international courts. Regarding the issue of organ theft, how did you uncover it, and how were you able to prove it?"
Ismail Al-Thawabteh: "Yes, throughout this genocide, we received dozens of martyr bodies that the israeli occupation had left in metal containers near hospitals in the south, specifically near the Nasser Medical Complex. When we turn over these bodies, we find large amount of their parts missing. There are bodies torn in half, others decapitated, and many without limbs. Some bodies are completely evaporated, others have no eyes, and many are missing their internal organs. As a result, we issue a direct and unequivocal accusation against the israeli occupation that the israeli authorities have stolen organs of these honored martyrs because these organs were missing when we examined the bodies. Over the past three days, we have been traumatized by overwhelming shock. Every single government team that examined the bodies was deeply traumatized by what they witnessed. How can the israeli occupation execute detainees who were already in their jails? Some detainees bore clear marks that their bodies crushed under the tracks of tanks. These honored martyrs were subjected to deliberate war crimes."
[2] Most media outlets never mention that, for decades, Israel has had a policy of holding the bodies of deceased Palestinians and denying them burial. Hundreds of bodies.
In March, Trump said of Hamas, "Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!"
Israel is holding hundreds of Palestinian bodies, including Anis Dawla, a Palestinian who died while on hunger strike in an Israeli prison in 1980, for 45 years, despite his family pleading for it to be returned.
