Part 3. America needs to know: It's Americans. US citizens. Americans. America is complicit in this genocide

[2025-10-10]

The following articles, from Part 1 to Part 5, are transcriptions from the interview video between TRT World (hosted by Paul Salvatory) and Anthony Aguilar, Former Green Beret and Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) worker, shared via TRT World's YouTube channel with the title "Palestine Talks: Anthony Aguilar on 'powerful people' getting rich from Gaza genocide - The GHF is 'not in Gaza to feed anyone", published on Oct 10, 2025, available on: https://youtu.be/UZMugQ22dKk?si=EH9xWsfn2oACZmo6. This Selamat Pagi Gaza Website has no affiliation with the TRT World at all, it only shares the interview in a form of text due to the importance of the conversation in it. Everyone who cares about the future and humanity should watch the video as soon as possible. Hopefully the channel doesn't mind I share it here in the form of text.

Part 3. America needs to know: It's Americans. US citizens. Americans. America is complicit in this genocide

📌GHF was built and then brought in to be a part of this displacement operation, to internment camp, if you will. So, when the world or Americans want to think: "Ah, that's a small war in a small place in a far away land, that doesn't affect me at all", it DOES! Because that concentration camp and that's exactly what it is, it is a concentration camp has no running water, has no electricity. Open sewage. They're not providing them water. They're providing them food rations every other day. Every two days a food ration only the equivalent of one meal. And on top of it, the people guarding that concentration camp, the armed guards on that camp are US citizens. American.📌

Paul: As someone who served in the military for so long, were you, would you have described yourself, or do you describe yourself as patriotic? And has this experience changed that?

Anthony: I consider myself very patriotic in a sense that I think many people misunderstand the duty, the oath, and the obligation of a military officer. I was not enlisted. I was not a non-commissioned officer. The oath of an enlisted soldier or a non-commissioned officer, though their oath is important, they have a different role in the military. They swear an oath to the president, to the officers appointed above them, to the Congress. As a United States Officer in the military, when I raise my right hand on the day that I was commissioned, commissioned by Congress as an officer, my oath is very clear and my oath is very simple: "I, Anthony Aguilar, do solemnly swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that I take this obligation freely." That's it. Period. I take no oath to a president. I take no oath to a Congress. I take no oath to a policy. I take no oath to a political party. And I certainly do not take an oath to a foreign government. So, my actions since I've returned from Gaza and speaking out about what's happening and our complicity in aspects that are clear violations of international humanitarian law, clear violations of the principles of our constitution and what our nation stands for, that, if the majority of Americans knew of wouldn't stand for, so, in me speaking out, is that patriotic? Absolutely. In keeping with my oath that I lived for a quarter of a century, 25 years I lived that oath to uphold and defend the constitution. Period. What we are doing in our involvement in Gaza and the way we are doing it is not only unethical, it is unconstitutional. And America needs to know.

Paul: Just before we started this interview, we were talking about where this is going. How much worse, unfortunately, this is going to get. And I'm wondering if you can expound on that, because your description in particular is very harrowing and there's a certain kind of absurdity because it's on full view.

Anthony: Yes. We are witnessing a genocide and the slaughter and annihilation of a people, regardless of who they are. We are witnessing it live on 4K high definition, every day on our televisions. We're seeing it every day. It's no mystery. What is happening in Gaza, to the Palestinians is not because the Israeli military failed. The Israeli military is absolutely succeeding in their plan. Operation Gideon's Chariots in south and central, clear southern Gaza, done. They've done that. Every building is leveled. Every Palestinian is gone. Every hospital, every school, every mosque, every playground gone. Clear central Gaza and move everybody from Khan Younis, Al-Mawasi, to the southern portion of central Gaza into the UN encampments. UN encampments that are not being maintained or serviced by UN personnel because they're not allowed in. So these encampments have become death villages, just villages where people go to die, they get bombed by the IDF. So that has been achieved. If we rewind back to a month ago, maybe 45 days ago, when peace talks were still thought to be on the table, when we thought there still might be a political or peaceful settlement to this conflict, the thought of the Israeli forces going into Gaza City to clear Gaza, Jabalia, and Bayt Hanoon, the world thought that won't happen, we would have a ceasefire by then, the world will not stand by for that many people to be killed in this urban war. And it's happening. Operation Gideon's Chariots 2 going into the north, north of the Netzarim Corridor, which as they were doing, that which a lot of people don't realize and recognize because it's kept, it's information that's hard to get. The Netzarim Corridor is a corridor that connects the western coast to the eastern Israeli border, in Gaza. It's 4.5 kilometers long. It was two kilometers wide. It was a strip where Israel leveled and bulldozed every single thing in that strip: house, home, school, electric, pumping station, water, everything gone. As they built up to invade into the north, they expanded the Netzarim Corridor 7 kilometers. 7 kilometer swath of area that is now gone, flat as this floor, controlled by the IDF. The entire Gaza enclave is only 26 km long. They've taken seven of those in area. So 21 square kilometers they've taken now just for the Netzarim Corridor, as they continue the assault north. Every day they continue their assault north. We see it every day on the news, whether it's Fox, CNN, left, right, European, Western media, we see it every day where the IDF are leveling buildings, apartment complexes, municipal buildings, schools, mosques, shopping areas, block by block. They have also brought in forces from the north, from Erez to push from the north, which you don't see a lot on the news because there's no reporters there. As they continue to push from the north and the south, every surviving Palestinian will be pushed out of the north, forced, forced to walk with all of their belongings, what they managed to get out. And you see this on the news, the people with their tuk-tuks or their trucks or their gypnies trying to get out, forced down the coastal corridor down to the south to a 2.7 km area concentration camp, a what the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation calls a Humanitarian Transition Site. Transition for what? It makes you wonder. So, with all of the Palestinians forced to the south, every inch of Gaza from this site in the south, north all the way to the Erez border, will be cleared. No Palestinians will live. No building will stand. And that plan has been the plan from the beginning. From the beginning in the Gideon's Chariots's operation on the offensive into Gaza. That's always been the plan. GHF was brought in. Remember, GHF didn't exist until February of this year. GHF was built and then brought in to be a part of this displacement operation, to internment camp, if you will. So when the world or Americans want to think: "Ah, that's a small war in a small place in a far away land, that doesn't affect me at all", it DOES! Because that concentration camp and that's exactly what it is, it is a concentration camp has no running water, has no electricity. Open sewage. They're not providing them water. They're providing them food rations every other day. Every two days a food ration only the equivalent of one meal. And on top of it, the people guarding that concentration camp, the armed guards on that camp aren't the IDF. It's not Egypt. It's not the United Nations. It's not Hamas. It's not some anti-Hamas militia. It's Americans. US citizens. Americans. America is complicit in this genocide. The United Nations last week has come out and declared that this is a genocide. The world, our allies, our American allies that have been our allies since the creation of our country: France, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, other European nations, Asian nations, Japan, and others have all come out to say, "We condemn this. This is a genocide." Yet the United States refuses to stand up to stop it, because we can, the United States can end this with a phone call. The United States can end this with an action. In fact, the United States can end this without having to do anything but allowing the UN vote for a declared ceasefire to go through without vetoing it. Just last week, the United States again vetoed a ceasefire. In the last year, the United States as a permanent member of the security council, The five: China, Russia, United Kingdom, France, and US... We have used veto power in the security council, 86 times as of last week, 51 of those, 51 times we have used our veto power was to block a resolution against Israel.

Paul: It's... it's just so harrowing. I mean one has to ask all this colossal evil, where is it going ultimately? What is it all for?

Anthony: What I see it, having been there and witnessed it and experienced the level of depravity and evil that you have to turn a blind eye to, to accept, to me there's nothing worth that but the people that are gaining, the people that stand to gain from this: the profit, the real estate, the resorts, the natural gas and oil that was discovered underneath Gaza in the south in 2009 that apparently Gaza has become so much more important to everybody.
